Two-day Workshop: Thursday, April 17 & Friday, April 18, 10am to 4pm (lunch 11:30am to 12pm)

 

Cost $200 per person/ $75 non-refundable deposit required to reserve your space; space is limited to 6. Workshop participants are askedto bring your own lunch.

 

Goal: To share the fun, brilliant effects of an ancient form of applying color to paper, not just fabric. Method: Using Rice paper and wax, we will utilize the wax as a resist to slowly build up brilliance of color and end up with a delightful, completed work of art you will find surprisingly easy and fun, fun, fun! Materials: The following materials are covered in the workshop's fee, which include Masa rice paper, wax, wax brushes, and supporting supplies. The student only needs watercolors, palette and brushes, a #2B pencil and if you have one, a lightbox to share with other students.
